Sesame Bel Beckmann (Londres, 2001) desarrolla su investigación artística mediante la instalación y la escultura, a través de las cuales experimenta con conceptos como la oscuridad y el camuflaje. En su práctica, la materialidad de la oscuridad se revela como un medio que camufla, absorbe y esconde. Como un espacio donde la distinción es cuestionada, y donde la forma se diluye. Es un territorio que deshace los límites que separan el ser del mundo, la intimidad del entorno, el interior del exterior. Bajo la penumbra se revertebra la realidad. Es un espacio indeterminado desde donde las jerarquías visuales tradicionales se desmantelan. Permite que el mundo se revele en su complejidad y ambigüedad, en su potencialidad para la transformación. Oscilar por el mundo desde la oscuridad nos acerca al espacio, y nos acerca a nosotros. Nosotros nos convertimos en espacio, y el espacio se convierte en ser.
Graduada en Bellas Artes y titulada en el Máster de Producción Artística por la Universitat Politècnica de València, trabaja actualmente con materiales como la ceniza, el pigmento negro y el polvo, que aluden a la fragilidad del espacio y los procesos de la materia contenida en él. Fue a través de su residencia en el espacio artístico Pluto (Valencia) a lo largo de 2024 que desarrolló su experimentación con estos materiales. Desde entonces, ha sido seleccionada en la muestra del PAM!25 para exponer en PAM!PAM!26 en el CCCC (Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporánea) el próximo año, a la vez que participa en proyectos curatoriales autogestionados como son Candor (Valencia, 2025) y Cortex (Valencia, 2026), y exposiciones colectivas como The End is the Beginning is the End en Volta Art Gallery (Valencia).

Sesame Bel Beckmann (London, 2001) develops her artistic research through installation and sculpture, using them to explore concepts such as darkness and camouflage. In her practice, the materiality of darkness is revealed as a medium that conceals, absorbs, and hides. It is a space where distinction is questioned and form dissolves, a territory that unravels the boundaries separating being from the world, intimacy from environment, interior from exterior. Under darkness, reality is rearticulated. It is an indeterminate space through which traditional visual hierarchies are dismantled, allowing the world to reveal itself in its complexity and ambiguity, in its potential for transformation. To move through the world in darkness brings us closer to space, and closer to ourselves. We become space, and space becomes being.
Graduated with a BA in Fine Arts and an MA in Artistic Production from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, she currently works with materials such as ash, black pigment and dust, which allude to the fragility of space and the processes of the matter contained within it. It was through her residency at the artistic space Pluto (Valencia) during 2024 that she developed her experimentation with these materials. Since then, she has been selected from the PAM!25 exhibition to exhibit at PAM!PAM!26 at the CCCC (Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània) next year, while also participating in self-managed curatorial projects such as Candor (Valencia, 2025) and Cortex (Valencia, 2026), as well as group exhibitions like The End is the Beginning is the End at Volta Art Gallery (Valencia).
